This is a brand new refurbished model. I have this identical model and use it for big game hunting in Colorado mainly to see where the hunting traffic is coming from prior to daylight. Check your state laws if you plan to use this for hunting in your state. Also great for predator hunting, I've spotted a few coyotes with these when hunting with friends. Effective range on the stealth cam's website is 250yds, I've been able to accurately identify animals up to 450 yards with this device. After that it becomes rather pixelated. I've used this in forests of Pennsylvania for predator hunting as well.
